Alginate dressings that helps to maintain a moist wound healing environment in medium to heavily exuding wounds. The dressing is highly conformable, soft, absorbent, sterile, primary wound dressing. In reaction with wound exudate, it forms a gelatinous mass which maintains a moist healing environment. The high-integrity design helps to provide structure to the dressing upon removal.
Management of moderately to heavily exuding pressure ulcers (category 2–4) and other acute or chronic wounds; may help control minor bleeding; suitable under compression.
To control heavy bleeding; on patients with a known sensitivity to alginates; surgical implantation
